Autumn equinox

The Autumn equinox is today.  It lets us know that Fall is here. We now have exactly 12 hours of daylight and 12 hours of darkness at the equator. The rest of us will have a little more or a little less than 12 hours of daylight. We are beginning to have less daylight and will continue to do so until Winter Solstice arrives. That’s shortest day of the year and the start of winter.

There are many of fall and Harvest Festivals in every town to celebrate. Fall festivals give us a sense closure to  summer as we drive through hills and forests blazing in fall colors.
