As a mother, I tried to instill in my children to work hard at whatever they were attempting. It didn’t matter if they were the best, just that they did their best. Even if they fell short of their goal, they could be proud of their effort. By taking a chance, someone might see them and be inspired to try harder. By not trying, they’d never know what they could accomplish.
Our Father expects the same from us. Whether we’re cleaning our house working outside the home or writing, He wants our best work. I don’t know about you, but my age is catching up with me and I don’t want to meet God and be a disappointment. That will only happen, if we don’t work hard and follow His lead. While being part of the world of the living, we can think, work, and reason out what is our best. God will take care of the rest because He is working through us.
Prayer: Lord, Too soon we won’t be able to help others. Whether its death of the body or of the mind, our ability to think, reason, and remember will be compromised. Help each of us to work hard to touch one person, and we will touch millions.
